HI EVERYONE!!!

Yeah, we really haven't haven't haven't been updating this blog for AGES!!! I know it's so deadddddd.

Anyway, now we're currently left with one hamster and it's either coconut or chestnut. This hamster has tamed alot from how she was before. Maybe she feels lonely? :/

She's currently addicted to corn and the moment it's mealtime, she'll try to climb into her food tray and gobble up the corn bit by bit. HAHA!! Superrrr cute!! She's the last survivor of all the 9 hammies.. and so given her age now, her movements are much slower and sometimes, she's still unable to move the wheel. :X

Anyway, yeah, thanks for reading this, if you happen to. hah. tata for now ;D

updates:

springy died on chinese new year, which was on the 14thFeb10'
it was crazy when he died. glad i came home for a change to know that he's no longer breathing.
after the two deaths before, i no longer felt much pain and agony to his departure.
at least, not anymore. even though he was one of my dearest.

later on, snowy died on the last day of february.
which is on the 28thFeb10'
another crazy one. this time, i was rather emotional.
but not as much as when our first hamster, lollipop died.
the numbness was there. but what more to say when she's the exact hamster that perked me up when i was down, stared at me with such innocent eyes that there's nothing in the way to resist me from stroking her?
she was the only one that loved and recognized me.
well, sad to say that doesnt serve as a compliment to my ownership of these hamsters.
but nonetheless, i loved her.
i still do.

when she died, it was difficult to watch her being buried.
but it was better than nothing. i wouldnt budge or leave before i know she's buried well.
although 'buried well' is an understatement for what happened that night (or morning since it was 12am when she died), at least i believe it was the best we could do.

when i held her in my hands, she felt so small. so tiny.
like she had rested in peace. like there was no troubles before the time of death.
we had made her a little cotton bed and a cotton blanket, all of pink because i assume she loves pink.
had that all done before burying her.

seems like in life, there is nothing such as everlasting happiness.
but the memories that we hold on to, would serve us the very least, some remembrance we ought to have.

its time to post again.
guess i really really dont touch this blog that often huh.

bought hamsters a new kind of hay.
looks totally like recycled paper =x

what am i to say about the hamsters actually anyway?
apart from the fact that donut actually died already.
i have the pictures. but pls. i dont wanna be reminded of it.

i dont spend much time with them, except a few pokes here and there that i can afford while i have 1 minute to spare.
right now i honestly dont have the time.
or probably i dont even care.
i dont even make time.
i make time for play. but not for hamsters.
if you wanna think about what an irresponsible owner is?
you'ld think of me.

its my fault they are so aggressive yet passive for company right now.
i've separated them, gave them no friends.
i dint even spend time giving them a treat a day.
what is this mannx. honestly.
its like i dont even care about them.

but deep down i know i still do.
how can anyone ever hate a hamster?

i just hope the people around who love the hamsters would make an effort to take care of them too.
why are human so selfish,
is there a cure for it?
because my selfish nature wouldnt give in.

so much for the wait of yet another new post.

its gonna be typed at the left hand side now.
an everchanging posture of the text.

since lollipop has left us, the hamsters are still doing fine.
especially snowy, who is almost the cutest of all.
sad to say, she is the only one who constantly remembers my scent, and reacts to it.
not by biting. but by snuzzling her nose around my fingers.

i honestly think that the licking habit that the male hamsters have are passed down by genes.
either that, or they simple 'monkey see monkey do' as we all call it.
because their father, springy, licks every single thing he passes by.
i wouldnt exactly say its unhygenic in a sense for hamsters because they basically are able to eat or lick just about anything.
well of course, with the exception of expired food.

but hamsters are clever.
so usually the unwanted food dont go into the stomach.
unless they are terribly hungry, risking their health.

sometimes when i hear how others tell me the advantages of having a guinea pig
and the disadvantages of having a hamster,
i would just wonder how life would be if my hamsters were guinea pigs.
my sister said that guinea pigs rarely bite. and that's a really good advantage.
because the hamsters are already biting so much.
probably due to the fact that i hardly spend any quality time with them either.
how irresponsible.

but guess what.
i've never thought of exchanging my hamsters for guinea pigs.
never once.
because i love them all.

the hamsters are not just any living animal to bring joy and laughter to our house.
or the dirt and smell that pollutes the hallway.
instead,
they are lovely little furry friends that i have that make my day so wonderful each time i look at them.
the way they sleep, the way they eat, the way they run.
it makes me think about life.
and how fragile it is.

hamsters are part of the world's most wonderful things =D

for one, i cant differentiate which is springy and which are the nuts

cuz they all are abt the same size and they look e same =.=

okayy. except. well. KINDA diff

for second, i kip tinking they haf wettail, a serious disease that can cause them to die

cuz one of them had diarrhoea

and HIS tail is wet. wet. wet. together wif e butt area of cuz

haahs, yepps, i'm back here to report on the latest news of the little hamsties.

haha. just love to call them hamsties.

i've just came across recently,..(can't rmb when) that our hamsties are called

'Campbell's Russian dwarf hamster'. Cute right? yeah!

and also, i do think that groundnut sounds really weird. so i've thought about coconut!

sounds better? hees, hope so!

u guys know why there's this lollipop that has no nutsy name? simply becoz it's kinda stands out than the other hamsties. He has beautiful grey fur and looks very pretty to me. haah, ya, looks like a girl. checked many times and i'm sure he's a boy. so goes with his father. so far so good... heh heh. and lollipop is well-known for screaming and yapping like a little lion cub. so he's caught our attention. but this name is not given by me... guess it's given by xue yi or benits.

yeaaaa, so that's abt it. i just had my SS exam and just got home. feeling like another bomb is off, but of course, not so soon. i'm gonna study BIOLOGY the great! needs full-time memorisation and 1/4 time understanding. alrighty, bye for now. =))))

sis and mom took springy over to the vet this morning =(

wads wrong?

we tot he too inactive, hibernating, yeahhs u noe~

but vet said this was actually normal

its juz that the dad's (springy's) sad after the seperation from him and his wife and his kids

so, yeahhs, basic reason -- sad

awws

i feel sad for the dear springy too =(

fed them medicine too!

and they HATED it. screamed when they were fed that stinky medicine

haixx, so pitiful

but that medicine wus to clear their stress u noe

but i bet it tastes yucky =(

but they are fine now ^^

thank God. hahas.

bought a nice lovely pink cage for the mom and her kids

she shld noe she can never succeed.

even if she does, it wont be for long, the babies wud drop somehow or other down e hole

oh right! i'm back again.

benits and mum went outa buy hamstie cage now... hmm.. so poor papa hamstie is alone in a little basin with only his favorite corn and wood shavings.

Don't worry papa! the new home is here to save you! heh heh heh!

yup yups! very soon, in a few minutes time, benits jie and auntie mum will be back with a new cage.

hmm, can't answer yet, but guess it wouldn't be too bad. euu know we luv u, right???

hahaha! ok, finally im here to post!

yepps, been so quiet in this blog, coz frankly speaking, i'm not keen for blogs. ^^

anyway, been so busy busy busy with the typical 'O' lvl yr assignments and stuff. so... didn't update at all. yeaaa and btw, benits has been updating latest 'news' of our hamsties. haaa haaa.
now she has put the father hamster together with his family, back in their mansion.

but i guess it wouldn't be for long because i'm afraid i'll have to seperate them again. a very cruel decision but i don't wanna have more than 9 hamsters in my house, u noe,...

it would definitely be more manageable and not too many for me to dote on... >.<... and selling these cutsy pups is a no no. given life by my precious mama hamstie. ^^
but if accidents were to happen, i'll think about it then. ^^ can't predict much for the future. will be around soon... err, quite soon i suppose. XP

oh wells, anws, i put e mom and e children together after i checked e web yesterday

lucky till now, all 7babies are still alive

mom dint eat them

loves them so much manns =DD

juz wondering wad i'm gonna do to them nxt time =/

and now MY MOM is like, so worried for dear hamsters now luhs

hahas

its like, she kip calling me, asking me to go hm straight after sku juz to watch over e hamsters

i feel like i'm their mom. hahas

mother made a nice nest for her little babies and slowly pulled them in dere to settle down

awws~ so swit~

and the babies are now sleeping with each other. hehes

juz some things to take note for me:

-in 2weeks time, we will be able to hold the hamsters

-in 3 weeks time, we can feed them small pieces of hamster food

-in 25-28days time, seperate the children from the parents (to know that they can be independent)

-in 5weeks time, seperate the male from the female =DD

okies, i guess thats wad i nid to know so far. lolx

so glad i haf little hamsties~ xDD

okayys, so gonna check on them now

seriously hope my dear snowy wud not bite or kill her own children out of stress =/

one question tho.

now that i've seperated the dad frm the mom and kids,

should i put him bck together again to reunite?

cuz i noe i'm supposed to seperate father and mother so that mother wun scratch e father

oh wells, now wad i'm scared is the father would bite/chew/swallow/kill the babies

so bck to the question

wad shld i do?

can someone give some tips?~

ok, i dint witness it giving birth .but i saw the mother biting the young one in its mouth

carried it up to the tower wif all her might

and my mom thot snowy wus actually struggling wif a bee =.=

when that 'bee' wus the last baby. lolx

and its so swit u noe

its like, e mom give birth le jiu slowly bring e babies up, den e father at e top guarding e babies

aws~ so swiiiit~

when i looked at e tower to see the 'bee', i saw 6 other lovely 'bees' on e tower

my gosh luhhs, scared the freak out of my life u noe

6 weird wrinkled-skin looking stuff appeared b4 my eyes juz when i wus preparing to go sku

and i realised they were hamster babies. and another shock of my life

excuse me? when were my hamsters one female one male?!

and the thing is dear snowy has got ZERO, 0, zero menstruation. my goshh luhhs

and i tot female hamsters wud haf

left the hamsters in my bro's care [[in great trust]] and left for sku

smsed my mom on the updates of dear baby hamhams and she said they were fine

and i wus glad

rushed home immediately luhhs and i am SO GLAD to see hamsters all fine =DD

but i'm afraid they wud mate again

i mean, e adults luhhs, u nvr noe, do u?

gonna check e net on how to care for newborn hamsters and how to stop hamsters frm mating
